On our small family owned farm, we raise two heritage breeds; BERKSHIRE and RED WATTLE. Heritage pork is bred for its rich texture, marbling, and depth of flavor. Our pork has fat! It has intra-muscular marbling so the meat is full of flavor and won’t dry out during cooking! Heritage pork is real food that your grandma and grandpa remembers!
Our pigs get to enjoy fresh air and sunshine out in our open pastures, where they get to do normal pig things! They have access to shelter, water, and mud puddles! Sustainably raised with no added hormones or antibiotics, you can feel good knowing what your feeding your family!
Buying directly from our local farm not only gives you a chance to meet your farmer, but know where your food is coming from, and trust that you are getting the quality product you are looking for.
We realize the first time buying direct from the farm can be overwhelming. You may have questions about what cuts to choose, how much meat will you get, or how the processing works. We are happy to help you through the entire process step-by-step!
HOW CAN WE GET SOME?
Pork is available to order by the whole, half, individual cuts, or freezer packs.
Your best money saving option is a whole or half pig. We charge $1.85 per pound hanging weight for a whole pig and $2.00 per pound hanging weight for a half pig, and that includes delivery to processor. Hanging weight is the weight after the animal is butchered and on the rail. Processing price would be paid separately. We will deliver to any locker for free within a reasonable distance. And, if you’re not sure which locker to use, we can give you our recommendations.
If you would like to reserve a pig, it requires a deposit of $100, and you will be guaranteed the next one available on the waiting list. Without a deposit, we can’t guarantee availability. The deposit will be applied to the final purchase price.
If you have limited freezer space freezer packs and individual cuts are a great option! Just message us to check availability.
